To John Mayer With Love

Day off in Salt Lake City, UT… Milling around the Apple store, met a guy named Ben who said he had a print shop fea­tur­ing old style let­ter­press­ing… his busi­ness card def­i­nitely lived up to the hype. He offered to show us around the shop and we obliged… Spent about 90 min­utes look­ing at amaz­ing paper stock as well as some beau­ti­ful old print machines that he had restored. Never one to walk away empty handed, I asked if we could all have a go at work­ing on a sim­ple project. Ben broke out the old let­ter press blocks and since our favorite show is East­bound and Down we decided to make a print of our favorite tour excla­ma­tion made famous by BMW dealer Ash­ley Sha­ef­fer, “WOOH!”

Every­one involved got a chance to turn the lever and pro­duce at least one print. We didn’t expect to love the fin­ished prod­uct as much as we do, but we do… lim­ited edi­tion of 13, maybe I’ll slip a few into the mer­chan­dise booth and split the prof­its with the guys so we can buy a case of beer and some new Wif­fle balls.
