John Mayer debuted his new single “Who Says” live on The Scott and Todd Show (99.5 FM — PLJ.COM) this morning.
Heehee!! Anyone who follows John on twitter knows he is a bit of a night owl…so knowing how tired he must be at 7:45 in the morning makes listening to him do these types of interviews all that much more fun.
So imagine my surprise when John came on the air sounding not only awake, but borderline peppy!!
No surprise at all, he was also funny as heck. 
After making a few jokes about John’s tweeting habits (boo!!!) the DJ’s asked him several questions about his upcoming record “Battle Studies.”
In regards to why he chose “Who Says” to be his first single, John said he wanted a song that “sort of puts its arms around you” versus slamming you down on the ground.
(Which I think is exactly what it does.)
John then described his experience working with Taylor Swift on the song “Half Of My Heart” (also from Battle Studies).
He expressed his respect for Taylor and likened her to an “angel” a “pixie.”
Normally, I would go on to tell you about how wonderfully SEXY and HOT and AMAZING
…my sweet baby doll was.
But I’m a bit of a night owl myself.
